Description

Two field placements. First placement is three days a week, total of 21 hours. Second placement is four days per week, total of 28 hours. First placement is in the third year of program, second placement is in the fourth/final year of the program. Second placement must be completed in the final semester of the program (4th year). For the three year program, 315 hours of practicum is required total, 3 days per week. For the four year program, 420 hours is required total, 4 days per week.

Important Information

Students often graduate immediately following the final placement, with some exceptions. Recruiting process for fall placements start in mid june, recruiting proces for Winter placements starts end of August. Placements must be completed with different organizations. Strong preference for placements to be completed locally. Placement Coordinator suggests that the Bachelor of Social Work 4 year program would be the best fit for placements.
